Our Class Rules & Behavior:
Right now we have Weekly Dojo prizes. This is our chart with our rewards and consequences. This will help you to know what can be expected to happen at each point level. We typically have most of our students earning between 13-23 points. If your student is earning 8 or less points, this is not something that is common for all students, which is why they will be receiving a consequence (typically a loss of 1 recess). We realize that sometimes students are absent which is why their scores are lower--we will take that into consideration when determining rewards/consequences. Mlle Smith and I will handle most problems in class, however, if poor behavior choices are becoming frequent then parents will be contacted about their behavior by either myself or the student. If this becomes typical behavior, the Principal will need to be involved as well.

Rules:
1. Je respecte les consignes tout de suite. I follow directions right away. 2. .Je parle, je travaille, je marche calmement. I speak, work, and walk quietly. 3. Je garde mes mains, mes pieds, et les objets pour moi. I keep my hands, feet, and other objects to myself. 4. .Je respecte mes copains. I respect my classmates. 5. J’utilise l’équipement et le matériel correctement. I use the equipment and materials correctly. 6. Ici, on parle français. Here, we speak French. Behavior: We do Class Dojo in our class just like in Miss Smith's. Students get +1 points for doing positive things during class, and -1 points for doing things that are not encouraged in class. The Class Dojo website allows parents to see how their student is doing in class and even allows you to see the reasons behind why your student received each of their points. Because one of our rules is to remain in French while in my class, students who repeatedly or consistently speak English and distract from others' learning in doing so will lose privileges while students who consistently make an effort to speak French will be rewarded. I will be contacting you either via email or over the phone for either case, whether to inform you that your child is not meeting the expectations or to praise them for exceeding the expectations. |
