Homework Policies
Math homework is assigned by me through Miss Smith. It is to be completed the following day and the final packet will be turned in on Fridays.
French homework goes home on one two-sided sheet, usually printed on pink/red paper. These will help to prepare your child for their weekly spelling tests as well as reinforce the weekly texts we'll be reading throughout the week. In terms of French literacy, the best way to help your child with French literacy is to work on their literacy first in ENGLISH. Keeping up with the daily reading in Miss Smith's class will reinforce what we do in the French classroom.

Any Ongoing Assignments/Events To Be Aware Of:
We will be practicing everything that is entailed on our French homework page so that when it goes home each week students start to get a better feel for what is expected each day. The same assignments repeat week after week, with just a change in text and targeted vocabulary. DUOLINGO (see the images the the left) is a fun and interactive website and app that I am encouraging the use of this year at home (because of the English we can't use it in the French classroom). Please help your child to create an account and allow them to use their electronic time for some French reinforcement at home. They can join my Duolingo "Classroom" where I can see progress (and award bonus Dojo points for Duolingo stars)! This is a new feature this year and excited to have us all connected in this way.
